How Do i Re-enable our forum, main Admin has left

All I have done is rename:

sharabyarmyold.myfastforum.org from sharabyarmy.myfastforum.org

BUt when user is registering it goes to old forum, any chance you can delete it, and will just carry on and build the new one.

we have created the new forum but it appears that it wont allow us to signup to http://sharabyarmy.myfastforum.org with the same user which we have on http://sharabyarmyold.myfastforum.org.

the thing we want to do is now allow anyone to signup ... when i signed up it said the admin will need to activate the account but the admin has not recieved any requests to do this.

i am not sure if this is linked to the fact that the old forum (http://sharabyarmyold.myfastforum.org ) is tagged to the new one (http://sharabyarmy.myfastforum.org)????

Admin - also couple users have re-registed but im not getting the e mail to activate them?

I am having problems in getting into  http://sharabyarmy.myfastforum.org/ when I try to do it on my phone.

It just takes me into a page which has a Blue header with XABB Template..... and it says this forum is currently disabled.

Yet when  I try on my PC using same URL it goes through fine to our forum

Any ideas ?

The disabled one is the real forum of that name now. Between a server move and a rename a situation arises where you are able to see the old forum still.

Thanks for that admin, so using my mobile how do i get into our forum as it stands now rather than the disabled page ?

The new version is at:

the old version is:

http://sharabyarmyold.trillian.myfastforum.org/

but there was a copy also at:

http://sharabyarmy.zaphod.myfastforum.org/

Confusing isn't it   All caused by renames and forum moves going on at the same time.

I have made the rogue copy get to the new version.

sooner or later the original link will propagate and get people to the new version.

Old forums get deleted over time. We will not pre-empt that process.

1. You must give the (myfree/myfast/myfine)forum.org link/address of your forum. A link should be given to the problem if at all possible. Do this whether you think it is important or not. DO NO GIVE YOUR OWN DOMAIN LINK IT MUST BE THE NAME YOU CREATED HERE.
  2. Search on the forum and on howtodoit for your problem before posting. 90% of the posts we get have easily found answers if you search on a couple of key words from your post. If this is not the case report the keywords you searched on and we will make sure search works for the next person to try the same search terms. Each time someone doesn't bother to use the search, questions accumulate in the forum making it harder for people to actually find answers! as people searching will end up finding the question and not the answer.
  3. Keep it to one support question per thread, if you have another question start a new topic. This will help others using "search" to find answers.
