The MODERATION portal now allows posting thresholds for restricting what new users can post by way of sigs, urls, and homepage links.

When sending a private message, you can specify subject=... as part of the url which will help people coding "report post" type hacks.

If you place a member on moderation then all that is set in moderation portal will come into effect,  but what happens if say you want to only block one member from posting links,, while another member keeps putting bad sigs on etc .

Is there a way to associate personnel settings. ?

Or is a lack of sleep distorting my brain today.

Well the blocking of links is automatically covered my moderation status, e.g. whilst being on moderation does not block links it does block the entire post.

Now whilst I will admit we have hit a limit with the current code on how many different flags we can put on a user, I don't think in this case an extra flag is needed.

If someone is being a pain with links and is an established member, then the correct approach is not to try and block links, as that approach won't work anyway. e.g.

h  ttp://www.myfreeforum.org

will not be blocked!

Link blocking is about dealing with spam from new members. Established members are a very different matter.

can it be made so that all new members when they join cant send pms untill they have a specific number of posts but their posts will not be moderated, they can still post, but they cant send pms untill they have specific number of posts?
in the moderation can the option be added so that "the user posts will NOT be moderated" ?

That is what the thresholds are there for, they apply to members who are not moderated.
