I think you have got the code/text in the two boxes the wrong way round.

surely unmoderate post should just release the post,
and unmoderate user should release the user.

This is a great feature - just had to make use of it today. One comment I would make is that when you 'view all posts by this user' via the profile you can see the comments just the same. Not sure whether you can do anything about that though.

If a moderated person posts and that post is waiting approval from mods/admin - does it just sit on the thread waiting for us to notice it or will mods/admin be informed that posts are waiting to be moderated?

Same scenario - can all the other members see that the moderated person has posted and is awaiting moderation?

Currently it is set that you have to see it, there is no notification, other members can see a post has been made.

I may add notification, but I tend to think the facility would not work very well on a board without quite a few active moderators regardless of notifications happening.

Thanks for the reply.
I think that the fact that other members can see that a post has been made could cause unwanted comments on the site.
Do they see that the post is awaiting moderation?

I thought about that one a lot, and I think it is better that people can see someone has made a post.

There is no big deal with new members for the fact that they are on moderation to be seen, and I think it is unfair on such members that any contribution they make to a thread is totally hidden and hence prone to issues of looking in poor context.

As for those put on moderation, this can hardly be kept a secret and I think it is also therefore appropriate that it is seen and that the context of threads is kept as sensible as possible.

Can I suggest a portal showing the number of posts under moderation awaiting approval, each linking to one page, similar appearance to who is online in structure showing who made the post and in with category of the forum.

We've got our first member on moderation and everytime I click on the release from moderation message my screen just goes white and I have to refresh the forum and find my way back to where the post was to see what was said.
I'm using Mozilla Firefox.
Is this normal?

Sounds like a bug

I will look into it. If you can give the member details and link to one of their posts it would help.

Thanks - I've had a busy night moderating so I didn't notice that you needed a link - time for the wine now
