Admin i tryed to sign up as you know a while ago and as you said it wouldnt verifed my site as the hack wasnt in place so i tryed to do it again today and it says my domain name is already used???? so how can i get this to work or has it already donr it for me today? _________________ XXVIII/ I/ MCMLXXI

You need to login rather than sign up as you are already signed up.

You can then ask for verification again, and of course create an advert or several for approval.

Well sort of could you tell me how to make the ads appear side by side instead of going down the page please it says in the options you have to add a html code but im thick and dont know it??

The big text adverts will always work like that, you probably what discreet "link" adverts. Not as effective, but it is all a matter of balance.

Ok well at the moment i have set it too only one. so to work better for me it depends on how many ads i display between 1 and 5 _________________ XXVIII/ I/ MCMLXXI

I would guess that 5 link ads, would be both more effective and more discreet than 1 text ad.

I tryed 5 ads but then i got 5 big banner ads going half way down the page lol maybe i should just have links

In two minds whether to leave it on here. I think it looks a little messy. Highlights for me though the importance of not inflicting these hacks on forums that may not want them.

But you can still scroll up in the same window when replying rather than in that little window below the reply box... I agree but what id like to know is why someone shouts and stamps there feet for all these hacks and yet doesnt seem to use them,, admin it must get right up your hat when they do this _________________ XXVIII/ I/ MCMLXXI

David, can you possible start this as two additional threads? Due to the required pace of event, and the fact that most optional hacks are going to depend on us getting the template editor going. A discussion of many hacks in this thread will get lost in the noise. It would also be good if you could find a download for the hacks you want.

OK, sorry. I have started a new thread under the "Making your forum better" forum. I couldn't find the exact hacks, but some pretty close to it. I have contacted the admin of the forum that I first noticed had the custom "Who's Online" hacks,to see where he got the code for the hacks, but I aml waiting for a reply.
