Board Violating Copyright

Hello,

I wanted to contact you today in regard to a forum that has come to our attention.

The URL in question is this:

The forum of course being independent made but it attempts to make use of the neoseeker name without consent from our company, Neo Era Media, Inc. never gave permission to the individual to use the site name neoseeker.com in such a fashion. This further becomes a problem as the users have taken our neoforum logo without permission and have modified the logo to simulate an official feel to the site as if we endorse them, this is not the case and once again they were allowed no such rights to take and alter our properties. The company and the contracted graphic artist who performed the work did not give consent to this group at all to modify this.

Unfortunately it seems this complaint brings up a number of issues surrounding this place another problem was seen in this thread:

Users from the site performed abuse of our PM system to advertise despite warning being clearly written to the user in the PM composition page.

The exact notice to users is this:

"Note: To ensure that everyone enjoys a spamfree NeoPM system, forum rules DO apply to NeoPM. Sending spam, flames, advertisements, forum recruitments, and chain letters are strictly prohibited and can lead to account bans and deactivations."

The users violated this item and it traces back into their statements in the thread where they admit to the violation. Although I am not sure of your stance on the subject of such items, most sites tend to cite both but some only cite email as an offense.

Thank you for your time with this, hopefully this can be resolved without too much trouble. In terms of action it would be prefered to have a complete removal of the offending site in question or a full sweep of any association to us including their name and the illegally modified logo.

I should also note a copy of this was sent via email to the administrator account earlier this week. The board remains unchanged though so I wanted to post it here as well in case it was missed.
