Hello Admin,

Can you define what is shortly? A long wait is bad for all involved.

Thanks.

One area of concern has come up in our group ...

We are the largest Kawasaki Triples Forum in the world ... and we don't want to loose any information.
A backup was offered to those who are paying members ... which we are.
How do we obtain a back up BEFORE the switch is made ???

Also ... is the phpBB3 going to to be required ??? ... we are phpBB2 at the present time.

Thanks
Jim

I have several members on ukkippercaperers.myfreeforum.org  who have now had money taken and are wondering what is happening? We need some clarification here. I'm having to fend off accusations of a scam!

I appreciate that there may be delicate negotiations going on but as a forum we've raised a decent amount and I need to be able to give my members some solid feedback.

We are also bb2 and if we're required to go to bb3 it may prove a headache as I have absolutely zero forum building knowledge.  Part of reason I encouraged our members to contribute was to ensure we have good tech support if things changed.  Will this still be the case?

In a similar position, we've built up probably the largest knowledge base of & for airguns made by the Chinese in the world, I requested an export file last week as the feeling on the forum was that we couldn't lose all that information if the forums were to be lost, but nothing has appeared.

I pledged a donation by credit card but unfortunately didn't keep a note of the name of the company which would collect the money.
Was it Marsjupiter Ltd ?  I'd be very grateful if someone could remind me.
Many thanks

Thanks Yankdale.
It was that company who took the pledged money from my card on 19 April, the closing date of the Crowdfunding project. I don't mind giving it to MYFF as a thankyou for their free services but I do seriously object to the manner in which it appears to have been obtained.
The CF site clearly showed that the project target was 10,000 and stated this " Your card will only be charged on 19th April 2017 if the project is successful." It seems to me that someone subsequently reduced the target to match the limited amount which had already been pledged , meaning that it could then be called a success and all the pledged money could be called in . This without notice , or not to me anyway.
I note that someone who posted earlier said they were having to deal with accusations that the fundraising was a scam. That is hardly surprising in these circumstances. I personally don't think it is a scam but do see it as a breach of trust which is one hell of a shame . I'd prefer to see it as an administrative error . It would be nice if someone in authority could confirm that is what it was.

I had my doubts too.

Unlike what the CF site says, the admin stated on the forum that even if the target is not reached,
all those who donated will be charged, and the donation becomes a payment for downloading the database.

If you send the admin a pm he will send you your database.

The only thing I don't like is the misleading message at the top that says:

"......will be made shortly" IMO shortly is 1-2 days max.
