PLEASE ENTER THE FOLLOWING>>>>

http://sevra.myfastforum.org/index.php

what is the name of the template:    fiblack3d  ..  myfs_sevra2

Please indicate keywords you have searched on: Change background, Smileys, Emoticons, Smilies, Colour change.

Now ask your question in clear English without "txt" speak>>>>

I would like to change the background colour of the Pop Up Emoticon page. In Edit Templates/Logos, where do I find the HTML code for this ?
Currently it is Black, the same as the Home page... I would like to change this as well.

Many Thanks

I somehow knew you were going to say that. Heres the HTML from posting_smiles.tpl . There are no colour codes to change.

Code:

<script language="javascript" type="text/javascript">
<!--
function emoticon(text) {
   text = ' ' + text + ' ';
   if (opener.document.forms['post'].message.createTextRange && opener.document.forms['post'].message.caretPos) {
      var caretPos = opener.document.forms['post'].message.caretPos;
      caretPos.text = caretPos.text.charAt(caretPos.text.length - 1) == ' ' ? text + ' ' : text;
      opener.document.forms['post'].message.focus();
   } else {
   opener.document.forms['post'].message.value  += text;
   opener.document.forms['post'].message.focus();
   }
}
//-->
</script>

<table width="100%" border="0" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="10">
   <tr>
      <td>

{TPL_HDR1}{L_EMOTICONS}{TPL_HDR2}<table width="100%" border="0" cellspacing="1" cellpadding="3" class="forumline">
         <tr>
            <td class="row"><table width="100" border="0" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="4">
               <!-- BEGIN smilies_row -->
               <tr align="center" valign="middle">
                  <!-- BEGIN smilies_col -->
                  <td><a href="javascript:emoticon('{smilies_row.smilies_col.SMILEY_CODE}')"><img src="{smilies_row.smilies_col.SMILEY_IMG}" border="0" alt="{smilies_row.smilies_col.SMILEY_DESC}" title="{smilies_row.smilies_col.SMILEY_DESC}" /></a></td>
                  <!-- END smilies_col -->
               </tr>
               <!-- END smilies_row -->
               <!-- BEGIN switch_smilies_extra -->
               <tr align="center">
                  <td colspan="{S_SMILIES_COLSPAN}"><span class="genmed"><a href="{U_MORE_SMILIES}" onclick="open_window('{U_MORE_SMILIES}', 250, 300);return false" target="_smilies" class="genmed">{L_MORE_SMILIES}</a></td>

If there are no colour codes explicitly to change, then that means the colour is using the defaults from the CSS, meaning you need to get some colour into the main table yourself.

I've added the bit that should work for you into the quoted code above.

style="background: #990000;" in the opening table line

it's the padding that makes it look like a border, have updated the code, to alter the color a quick google gives you this: http://www.pagetutor.com/common/bgcolors1536.png

Nick.... You are an absolute Diamond. That did the trick. Thanks also for the colour codes.

I`ve got a Debug problem as well.... but will see if I can sort it myself before asking for help.

Thanks again Nick
