i should add i just upgradded to the phpbb3 and have also lost all my old members and forum setings _________________

You should only complete the phpbb3 backup sequence when things are working. Use the control panel where you did the upgrade to change the forum type back to phpbb2. _________________ Family Friendly Shareware \| \| Web Design/Services \| Free Forums

The forum control panel, not your admin control panel on the forum. Go to myfreeforum.org and login there, then switch back to phpbb2. Make sure you read everything there. _________________ Harsh Reality - Unleash your creativity! Harsh Reality
