nope, i think google pays a dime for every click... my friend had people click and click and click and click and just keep clicking without the page ever loading and he made $50... |
And then no doubt got busted by google and never got paid! At least that is what should have happened. The system works only if everyone is honest. Business pay to advertise and not to be defrauded  |
yeah, well everyone kept telling him that it doesn't matter that he made $50 online if he never gets a check... I don't think he ever did...

We will also probably find himself booted from the program and if in ten years he has grown up and wants to run an honest website, he may well find himself still banned by google. A company that is under no obligation to accept anyone into the program.
webmaster forums are full of people whinging that Google won't play with them anymore, and whilst they used to try and defraud avertisers, they are now reformed.
Such forums are also full of people complaining they have been kicked for doing nothing wrong. Stories that used to worry me a bit with our dependence on google. But when these people get pressed you do find out that behind the innocent act there is a good reason why Google gave them the elbow.

Evnen though it's random that shoulnd't be allowed on :P

I've had a look on the site... and myfreeforum is still better than any other free forum site i have visited..
by the way, EVERY topic i have been to so far today has had the phpbbserver.com ad.. NOTHING else has been shown yet

I am see other adverts, but I think it is symtomatic of the holiday season, advertisers have spend their budgets and what is left in the system are cheap fillers.
Quite frustrating for us, as it means not simply decreased income, but means it will take longer for us the gauge the levels we can expect. I have been looking at some very large server specifications that I would like to start leasing and the costs either look "doable" or out of our range depending on how you second guess the effects of the advertising changes.
Fortunately there is I hope several weeks life in the current servers before they get overloaded and it makes sense to use that and start to recoup the losses from our initial launch.
