You will need to change the portals in the code below to what you want and they can be found here Portal Choices

Ok to do it like it appears on this forum, you need to ADD this peice of code into your overall_header.tpl file AT THE BOTTOM

<!-- BEGIN switch_forum_view -->
<table><tr>
<td valign="top">
{MYFF.MAINMENU}
</td>
<!-- END switch_forum_view -->

<td width="100%" valign="top">

and the bit below needs to be ADDED into your overall_footer.tpl file AT THE TOP

<!-- BEGIN switch_forum_view -->
</td></tr></table>
<!-- END switch_forum_view -->

NOW follow this exactly.
As I have changed the portal component to what you want so copy each bit of the code and follow the instructions carefully

Once you change your links and give them a longer name they will become wider.

You'd have to put something in to fill out the space above.

A transparent image might to it.

To move stuff to the right, you will need to use overall_footer.tpl for the portal components.

None of it is too hard if you have a good understanding of html tables, but without the understanding you are like someone putting together a jigsaw with a blindfold on!

it's in the template edit part of the admin panel, there will be a couple of drop down lists bring the top one down and you will see a list go through that list and you will see the two files needed for adding the portal code to.
