Hi ive been asking a lot of questions latley but basicly my last one was needing my own ranks. I came up with these but i cant use them cause i dont know anything about this zipfiling. So im asking if synm or sgts or admin cause you seem to be really good at this stuff could do it for me? my forum is 4 days old and its comming along pretty good my forum and eveyone seems to love these and they would really set off my forum. and if you can do this for me i will seriosly shut up with all of the questions

There is one big problem to that you have all the ranks on one image, they need to be separate images, where did you get them, if you post a link i,ll have look

Okay thanks! I made them myself in MS paint so I'll separate them and save them separately.

Should they be saved as any special file type?

As long as they are not bmp i think they should be ok,,,, but as its quite tonight and as you have them on your computer shall we try and upload them yourself ?????

As long as you have a template you made for eg.... myff1 then it will work

yes they will as long as you follow the instructions then anyone on your forum will see them.


1. Goto Admin-Panel--Styles Admin--Edit Templates/Logos,, now
Choose Template to Edit for eg..myff_ 1

2. Now you should be looking at

Upload Image now click browse and upload the ranks you want one by one. when all done click submit, remember to make a note of each of the images names you have uploaded for eg.. symon.jpg symon1.jpg

3. Now you have done that go to admin-panel- user admin--ranks
Add a new rank or edit one your choice

Now in the path

Rank Image (Relative to phpBB2 root path):
Use this to define a small image associated with the rank

You would add this code

templates/myff_howtodoit2/images/premnewtag.gif

Change the bold bits with your template name and the last bold bit with your rank image name
