Nobody in our family is overkeen on turkey, I 'don't mind it' and that's pretty much it. We're having a few people round, I think we're up to about 12 people so far so it'll be a few different joints, which is easier as you can start doing them the night before if you wish. Gonna be duck, lamb and chicken probably, see what's on offer at Asda _________________ Teesside Accountant

We had 28 day matured roast beef, pigs in blankets, roast tats and all the trimmings. Not a fan of turkey and not had it since me andhe wife got together 7 years ago. _________________
We are traditionalists and do Turkey at Xmas, which is always a treat as we don't have Turkey at any other time, but what we did this year was to brine the Turkey for a few hours which makes the end results moister, which did seem to work pretty well _________________
Since our new baby was born (now 15 days old) I've been doing the shopping and cooking etc
For today I was having a rummage about in the tin cupboard to see what use I can make out of stuff that's been in there a while. There's some like fajita sauce, some mexican beans and chopped tomatoes, so I figure I'll get some mince I froze the other day out and make a sort of chilli con carne. I can't be bothered to go shopping to buy some tortillas so am going to try (for the very first time) to make home made tortillas. Actually looks quite easy from what I've seen.
Lol aye, it was after posting in this thread, posting at 1:50am is unusually late for me. I went to bed (wife was already asleep) and literally as I put my head on the pillow, her head came up, her waters had broken.
I'd already had not a lot of sleep the night before, and then to cap it off the labour lasted until 6pm next night, and when I got home to bed the heating started playing up making a right racket so despite being knackered I couldn't get to sleep, and then had to be up at 05:30 with the 2 year old.
Then the heating packed in completely and we had to get it sorted before we could get the baby home, lol was a bit of a comedy of errors and before I knew it several days had gone so I never made any announcements anywhere other than facebook _________________ Teesside Accountant
Well I made the bread, not bad for my first attempt. It is actually delicious, and it's not just me saying that, the kids wanted to scoff the lot when they tried it, and there's no more honest a critic than kids
