It may have been closed for 2 reasons

1. you broke the T@C

2. it was an inactive forum

Did you get an email about it? As the Admin would not close it unless you didnt reply and therefore it looked like an inactive forum

Sorry, I didn't see this post earlier. I don't think that I did reply to any email. Maybe that is what the problem is. Can I have a do over maybe?

Sorry, I knew I should have double checked that before I sent it. I am just so frustrated with this forum because it's for a Fan Site and I just the sent Celebrity there to see it and it's all messed up and the forum isn't working. It's driving me nuts. Luckily he is already a friend of mine or he would think I was crazy.

To change the style of your board.

Click on "Go to Administration Panel" login as "admin" or as a user with admin status.

Go to "Styles Admin" and click on Add if you want to see all the styles you have not installed.

Click on "install" by the style you want to try.

Now go to "General Admin" and click on Configuration.

Alter the "Default Style" and if you want it to be applied to everyone. Select "Override user style".

Now click the "Submit" button at the bottom of the page.

I can't get to the Administration Panel?! Please help!

I got back there, and I chose my template as "Chronicles" but now it doesn't say admin control panel! This is really kind of frustrating, I hate not being computer-savvy.

Okay, I got to the administration panel, and got it alright, but now I when I log in, it isn't Chronicles. It goes into the default, PHBB Creating Communities, or something like that. http://scholarsofthemarsh.myfreeforum.org

PostPosted: Thu Apr 06, 2006 2:50 am    Post subject: need help with Management editing Reply with quote

Well I've spent several hours looking and learning about this forum making idea. I am trying to make one for a group of friends.

My goal for right now is to figure out how to take those templates you have and convert them into personalized ones, just as you have said in a few guides. The first step I thought that would be good, was to use the the management editing. Which looks like it changes the "Background Image", and a various of colors through editing if the template.

I went ahead and put a web address into the background slot (hosted online) and then proceeded to change the colors (changed the numbers). Then I clicked saved . Then I made sure the correct template was saved in the configuration.

Next, I went to look at my forum to see how it all worked out and I only saw the default template (DefconBlue), not the changes I placed on them. Why didn't my saves not effect the forum's template at all?

I am fairly new to this stuff. I assume you can help

Thank you for the time ^_^
