Can you help narrow down just what portal place where causes the issue.
I have been putting in the announcements and latest portals into various places on a copy of subSilver2 and so far quick mod has not had any problems _________________

If you've tried with announcements and latest the only two left are top poster and the login, but the login we're using is already on the forum and the current time is pointing to a seperate js file.
Ok, just taken each out one by one, until I took them all out and the topic got deleted _________________ CALM TIME: When calm time is called, all posters in a topic must take time out to calm down.

Just done some testing, I think I've narrowed it down to having two logins on the same page, despite my tweaked version logging you in
Will just add back in the other portals with the login and retest
:EDIT:
I can now CONFIRM the cause is the cms_login.tpl, by taking it out the quick mod tools work. _________________ CALM TIME: When calm time is called, all posters in a topic must take time out to calm down.

That's it! I removed the login portal and all issues are gone! So does that mean that I cannot use that portal then?

but can you identify a simple case that causes the issue, previously it has been suggested it was latest or announcements and that has not been repeatable in testing. I will carry on trying to duplicate it, but it is a lot easier if you try and narrow it down accurately. _________________

Sknight, to help find a solution...
Remove all of the portals, then add in one and check if it works, then add another and check again, check with each one until it messes up. Then use only that one portal and see if it's just the one portal that's messing it up, or if it's because of using a combination of portals. _________________

Hi all, ok I tried all the portals individually and the ones that cause the login screen to mess up are
{MYFF.LATEST show_results="topics"}
{MYFF.STICKY show_results="topic" link="FORUM"}
{MYFF.ANNOUNCE show_results="topics" link="FORUM"}
If it work for others then it must be something I am not doing right

Do you have those portals anywhere else?
If not then remove the extra code (the show_results="topics" and what not) and edit the portal settings from the ACP (portals - portal settings).
I'm not sure what other posts you have, but perhaps it is that "show results=topics" that could be messing it up. _________________
