Please lets keep this thread to the issue at hand.

It does seem strange to have 2 user names , but the issue is the alleged theft of copyright material.

The official notification has now been sent.

Looking at the size of the forum, then this looks an open and literally SHUT case at the moment.

There is no practical way of fully stopping people signing up again, but if we detect a pattern then people can get removed with less qualm as time goes on.

A guy called barkerdude no longer gets the courtesy of an explanation it has been so many times.

ps) stop the emails you are asking nothing private and it wastes time.

Just to let you know that Andy has been trying to run a hate campain against John & myself for a while now. He has tried on some forums & has been that much of a pest he has been banned from some.
As for the copying of posts you can go on most fishing forums & find posts that have been copied from others, it happens all the time.Andy has even copied links that i have put on a couple of sites & put them on his. He registers in multiple names on a few sites and often uses one of his aliases to stir up problems.
Also Andy has had Johns email address for a long while as he has sent John some nasty ones in the past yet he states he has no way of contacting him.

The reason that John did not reply to anything was that the dates of the postings in this thread he was on holiday & could not get on line.

You cannot copyright a "link".

This was clear copying of posts, which is totally different.

And what i consider as copyright theft, he has omitted certain species, but what he has posted is word for word exactly like mine

http://fishingposts.myfreeforum.org/sutra64.php&highlight=#64

This person has stolen copyright materials from numerous site, including anglers net and maggotdrowning.com and claphamangling dot com.

According to the bottom of the page in the link  the copyright for the said material belongs to Mark Alderson 2009 & Andy is not this person yet is claiming to have the copyright. So either this Mark Alderson has copied it & put it in his name or he has just copyrighted some elses work ?

Anyway could someone please explain to me how someone can copyright facts that have been published in so many publications & forums for years well before the 2004 post mentioned earlier in this thread.

You plainly do not understand copyright law if you think that copying someones work is okay if you are just copying facts.

I cant understand why people just cant get along, yes i understand that copying is wrong but then again so is this world and unfortunatly you cannot stop it from madness, copying is human nature, most do it becouse they are lazy some becouse they are just trying to be a pain in the backside.

IT HAPPENS

sorry this post isnt realy helpfull but, there isnt realy anything anyone can do everybody copys something.

I must appologise for not being able to understand copyrights, but to me it does not make sence that someone can put a notice on the internet in 2004 & say that he has the copyright in April 2009 yet the same thing is on anothersite with someone elses name at the bottom claiming copyright in 2009. how can 2 pieces of identical work be copyrighted by 2 diferent people, to me this seems confusing?

The fact that there may be conflicting copyright notices on a work, does not mean you can copy it.

I am not condoning copying someones work. what i am wondering is why the fuss when some has copied it but not claimed a right to it when there is cleary someone else that is claiming copyright & nothing is said.
or is that OK in copyrights
