This is new code so may be buggy.

But all the old phpbb2 smilies and paks are now available for installation in phpbb3.

Rather annoying to say the least that phpbb3 did not bother to offer categorized smilies or make it possible (as it is very easy) to read the old smiley "pak" format.

Whilst we didn't want to tweak core phpbb3, over a year waiting for smilies has been much too long and for this I apologise.

You are the best Admin!! Now I just need to remember which smilies I had on V2.... At least the process of adding them is easier with V3.

They are there on my phpbb3 forum.

Remember not all Smileys have a "pak". they may just be categories.

Sorry, but after a search I can't find out how to add smileys which aren't in a 'pak'.

There is an "Add multiple smilies" option at the bottom of the main smiley screen.

Which if you just hit apply is exactly what you would expect. You need to enter the information for the smilies you want to add.

Simple: Select the one you want from the list, let them load.  on the right side is a box you check to add the smiley.  make sure you enter a smiley code such as and an emotion, say "Smile".

Then when you selected what you wanted, hit apply.

But as soon as I select them from the list, it comes up with the error page.

Just what is the point in saying you have a problem that others do not and then not telling us anything useful?

No forum link, no browser type....

This is just an FYI for those that may be as slow as me.

If you choose a category that has pictures that are wide, they will push the placement dropdown and the add check box off the screen without resizing and giving a scroll bar. If that happens, you can just tab over and it will appear.

At least it did on my FireFox at 1024x768
