I recently made a new forum, but I can't figure out where I change my username. I clicked on a link that gave me the choice of changing my username, password and forum name, but when it opened there was no place for me to change my username. I've found that I am able to change the forum name, but I do not want to do this.
So, can someone please tell me exactly how I change my username, because I don't want it to be simply admin.
Thank you.
(i don't know if there is a thread already like this, I couldn't find one.)

When you change a username, how does the PHBB2 software handle posts that were made by the old username? Do all former posts now pick up the new username or are do they all revert to "Guest", or do they keep the old username?
I have a request from a user to change their username and he has made many posts.

Assuming you are talking about the default version of the forums: it will change the poster's previous posts to their current name.

What do you mean by the "default version" of the forums?
And how would I determine that?

Really, the posts are made by a user ID (a number), when you view the posts, it looks up the username associated with that number. And since you can't change the ID, you need not worry about it (unless you delete the account) _________________

Default Version = You just made the forum and haven't "upgraded" it. But now that I think about it, yeah, phpbb2. Heh.
