That may be a possibility, indeed at a formal/legal level we have no idea where ownership actually does belong. _________________

But him 'selling' the forum started all this. I think the option should be given to the members.
If you look at "Whois.sc" st jimi supplied false information. Wonder if his hoster allows that _________________ "Great minds talk about ideas, mediocre minds talk about current events, small minds talk about other peoples"

Though I would add, that this would not alter the core position via advertising. All of the Admins on that forum have made themselves complicit in fraud. We cannot tolerate any association with that. Even hosting them is not something I am at all comfortable with _________________

I am not entirely sure. But my understanding is that they got blackballed twice, once when Mike ran things and once with Jimi. I don't care if it was once twice or not at all, once an admin posts a call to defraud people, then they cannot run with our advertising. As I say I don't want to even host them, it is only my reluctance to see the members get hit by this that makes me consider even doing that. _________________

Niceness can only go so far. I think st_jimi should be banned from his forum and let the members decide who should control. Cant believe he is selling the domain. _________________ "Great minds talk about ideas, mediocre minds talk about current events, small minds talk about other peoples"

I will state here and now what should be obvious though. They are on a ticking clock, the advert free status of the forum expires in October. e.g. they have in effect paid hosting until that time. But after then we are under no obligation to allow them to renew, and we simply cannot allow a forum with fraudulent activity to show our advertising.
I am in all honesty unsure on the best way to deal with this. The vast majority of the members their do not deserve to wake up one morning to find their forum is gone. |
In my honest opinion,
This is very simple.
At the moment as they have paid for advert free they are in effect paid hosting, once this runs out in October myff has the rights to allow them to pay for another 6 months or disallow.
They can never go back to being a free forum with our adverts as they have been proved to be fraudulent.
So the only option i see is that they pay for an export and move it to one of st jimis (super fast and friendly, better than myff, forum hosts), Should not be a problem really with so many dedicated members £1 each will be no trouble at all, and of course st jimi has the expertise to perform such an easy operation.
This is the only option in my mind as i think to reward them with a free export would show all that they can be fraudulent, be rude, talk utter bull sh it and be rewarded for it.
If not then it should be suspended, i know this is unfair to all its members, and he will twist and twist to blame everyone but him, but if he really is such a great admin and his forum and members mean so much to him , then he would have no hesitation, in buying an export, and putting an end to all of this.'
To do anything less for your forum and members would be sacrilege, and showing massive contempt to all the loyal members. _________________

There Sure Is And Alot Of Members Have Actually Moved To Swapitshop Lounge Since Jimi Took Over That Forum, It Was A Good Forum, But Last Few Months Little Effort Has Been Put Into It, Anyway Sucess Of SSL Forum Is Growing
Paying £1000 is Riduclous!, However Buying A Forum For £20 isnt that bad!
Alot Of People Are Angry That they Lost Their post Count some 7/8 thousand posts lol., Few Weeks Ago Loads Were Making Threads About Hating Jimi

Woah.
Erm.. yeah. Jimi does have an attitude 'issue' - but as does nearly every teenager you meet.
I am still managing the forum, and its really none you guys business about whatevers going on
But none the less this is only really being backed because of his rips of mff for his site, honestly mff has nothing to worry about. Think of how many other people spend like a week making forum hosting sites then just copy stuff from successful sites like this and get no where?
But over all its a members choice on what forum they go to, and Jimi is just a teenager being a teenager.. _________________ Is Your Forum Active?

Wrong when a forum has been acting fraudulent And when an admin of a forum is openly bad mouthing his host, it is our business.

It is not a case of being worried , far from it, his micki mouse hosting will die soon enough.
But you know as well as anyone it is not nice being ripped off, just how many times have you or jimi been here crying because some one copied your rules or posts ?? yet its ok for him to copy a whole forum layout ?? _________________

jimis lame rip off of our site is a humorous byline to what the issue is here
What we have is an issue of fraud by forum admins and members who deserve a decent solution.
