Ok i'm a newby at this stuff but i have scammed through the forum and i havnt found the answer yet, so the problem is that when i select an image that is gif i cannot edit that template/logo and also i wanted to change new posts logo and no new posts logo etc so when i put my new logo as the same name as the old 1 example old logo: folder_new.gif then i uplaoded my image and put the name as folder_new.gif and there was no change 0.o, i know i have got something wrong here so please could u tell me. I have posted it in this topic so i dont have to create a new 1 :P.

Well you should create a new one, so please do so for further questions.

Normally if you replace icons, you have to clear your browsers cache to see them. Just hitting "refresh" usually does the trick.

As for:

well when u select an image and it shows in image prevew, well is there suposed to be an edit button next to it if the image ends in .gif? oh and Thank you... i did my new post logo's now .

ok thank you for that info but i have another question... how do put i picture into the background of my forum for example i saw this 1 http://funnyworld.myfreeforum.org and he has a tasmanian devil *spelling* in the background. So yeah, how do i make a background please?

well i dont know what my background is called so what im gunna do is go on editor and mess around with my "myfs_deicidesoulbrothers3" and see if i can find my background and what its called lol.

Also you have to refresh the page a couple times before the background or image shows.

I am brand new here and I am having a horrible time figuring out what this editor person is suppose to do and how, I made this name a special rank but the rank has no powers do I set it at admin, I only want to add a pic to the left of the top page that is all I dont care to change the background just the pic I want up and I do not see an option to add this only change what is already there.

to get the editor person alll you need to do is create a new person and make his name "editor" or "EDITOR" and you wont have to worry about that any more

I did but in lower case and it has no powers do I have to use uppercase

shouldn't matter did you create the user then went to change your logo? and said

You have not created the "editor" user, which is useful for testing any complicated template edits
If you are planning more than a simple logo change, please create this user.

if s then you didn't create the user

if you have more then 1 user or your self then just change the name of the user to editor or EDITOR

I did get warning when I did it accidentally with the main admin yes. Does it mean I am all messed up now

well first is the warning still there?

if it is then that means you didn't create the editor guy?

make sure its spelled right
