admin (no pm's please), you have a deal there, but, (yep always a but) when you talk about the template you are talking about what ? the CSS file or the Tpl's as well? I haven't touched the Tpl's at all at this stage, maybe I need to to get the forum size right.

When I get the buttons and Icons done I shall post a pic sp you can look. Might take a week or so as I like you I am on the go a bit

Thanks for your offer and I shall continue to try and fix those two errors myself anyway.

Well if it is just the css that does simplify matters.

Yes it does, I have redone all those necessary graphics for the green forum and I also used the buttons and icons from "SubGreen" , I have made the "Online/offline" buttons myself. I have also changed the background and all is sweet apart from the two problems I have already outlined.

I really would like to solve those myself Admin and shall continue to struggle with them. It does appear to me that there are double ups in the CSS file, would it be right to say that those double ups are there because the Portals need them and then the board component needs them ?

This is the front page

This is the Posting Page

Admin, I think apart from the wrong color in the forum Category Titles and the actual reading of posts (pic 2 this post) I am nearly done. Still working on those issues myself admin, just thought it would be nice let you know were I am up to and what I have done. I am guessing that seeing all styles are released as Open Source software that my use of the subgreen buttons and icons is fine.

It is all as I understand it open source.

As for double ups, It would be a mistake to think that my release is much beyond ALPHA. I am simply pleased to have got something that worked.

Probably the header is where a mistake has occurred as that went in last, as I was concentrating a lot more on getting the actual look of the support forum that has its own header right.

I am sure we can get it all sorted in the end

Actually I bet the header issue is in overall_header.tpl and not the css.

Well I know I have learnt heaps doing this , and I must say I am happy with the results, I still need to check all thing properly, rather than a quick look. But hey At least at Archers Rest we will have a green template available and the grey one as well...... when I am happy with the end results Admin, I shall let you know and we can sort how you want this to be given to you to use here

Still , I have enjoyed this so far and hate things beating me , so I shall work on it and see what happens. You wouldn't have an original of the CSS that you used for mjProSilverPortal, I could get my hands on would you ?

what do you mean by original?

The final version you can always grab from a forum.

The very original is a mix of subSilver and the phpbb3 proSilver css files, and those files are massive

I found doing the template fun in parts but painful in others, as until I cracked the page type issue, the browser incompatibility issues were really really not fun at all.

Admin you are one hell of a great bloke that is willing to help so much all I can say is thanks

Well the css used here is the same as in mjProSilverPortal that you can install into one of your template slots. So no need for it to be posted.

I should be thanking you for making the green version available, we need more people doing this

Admin, I am going to be a darn pest here. Being understudy admin I am there to assist and only recently taken on this role, all the 4 spots are full, Archers-Rest is developing the grey one , I am doing the green, we have the current use one for the forum and a backup of the current one in the last spot. I shall speak with Archers-Rest to see what we can up with as I know he has been doing his thing with the Tpl's and the CSS that is why I was after the finished version that you put up here for all to start out with Admin.

But that doesnt matter as I am fairly certain I can sway Archers-Rest to let me free up a slot so I can have a peek at the original work you did. I am looking forward to being able to put this up as a green option for the users here though

Just create another forum! that will give you some slots. The forum if left inactive will end up purged after a month or so.

Was thinking about doing that , but having read your comments on purging of unused forums I figured you would not like it if I added to your work load. But as its your suggestion I shall do that and thanks once again for your great support

Just as an aside , I have managed to get he roll over effect workinh on both our green and grey boards. I notice that on yours it isnt, I have done a Ctrl + F5 and notice that you have a yellow rollover which gets over written. to get the rollover happening ..

Spoiler:

li.row {
/* background-image: url(images/row_bg1.gif); */
background-color: #ECF8E7;
}

That entry is at the very bottom of the CSS file, if you comment out the bacxkground-image then the rollover colour will work fine ( if anybody wants to know where to find that just ask ), not sure if you wanna know that Admin, but maybe others that are using the style would like it

I have a feeling I took rollover out deliberately. But it is all a matter of taste.

I think it was me that suggested it looked awful due to the color, you can add it back in, it just needs to be colored right.
