this is again controlled via javascript, scrolls one of two way (up or down) of which you choose, bg color, text color and text link color can all be defined also and there's a nice little pause allowing time to read and click if you so wish.

news can be manually entered as can the little arrow icon, which I can't be bothered to change right now

Guide will go up tommorow, unless admin feels this would add value, in which case he can login and get the code.

I've seen quite a few myself and none had this look or appeal tbh, they all lacked a bit on customization. I've got my driving lesson put back to about 3:45 today, so I may have to hold of on a guide till tonight if not tomorrow.

10 1hr lessons ends up being about £210 with the AA, best instructors if you ask me, dude just grilled me about the types of crossings, I was like I honestly don't know, I spent an hour on the cd before doing my theory.

It is not trivial for me to grab as it is a BLANK component type and not a MENU hence the "news" is hard coded into the javascript.

Your copying the component code I've got which was posted as an example of what you should see, below it is what you should have, but will need to alter the names to tie in with your forum, once that is done, you need to put the code from the newsticker.txt into the js file your linking to from the component.

Everytime I've looked at your current templates js file it's empty nad the js source link is still pointing to mine.

If you've add the newsticker.txt code into your templates js file, then you need to go into your newsticker component and change the javascript source link to point to your js file.

For now stick with the old one that has the guide

The new one is working but a little buggy, as on first run it shows an item twice, then it runs through all items in the right order, but hey I got another item in and it's still working so more tweaking is needed still on the new one.

how am I supposed to know what you titled the component, I made it clear to call the component NEWSTICKER for a reason that I can guide fully, I can't do that if people alter titles, once it's working then by all means change it's title.

as you've got portals on the left you need to go into your overall footer and look through the components you have the one below {MYFF.LINKSMENU} is what your after, now you know the name cancel the edit and find that component, then change your source link or turn me admin like you said you were going to 2 days back?
