I was trying to post it in a message and it will not work..

I would also like to post inin the configuration as site name..only the G works - but at least it displays

Are yuo allowing html on your forum in admin/configure?

3 point check list

1. As Admin has said check in admin panel configuation that allow html is ticked

2. Goto your profile make sure you have allow HTML ticked

3. Go back to the post you made click edit and see if disable html is ticked in the box, if so untick it.

i triple checked and i have done allof the above ..it has to be an html allowed tag

I don't know why you want to put it into a message as html, when you can just edit it so it works as bbCode?
