How do I add custom instructions to certain topics when members post. You know like you have above here ^ The instructions before they post etc?

Thanks guys.
myff admin

The exact code depends on the template.

Here in posting_body.tpl I have inserted:

Code:

<!-- BEGIN switch_not_privmsg -->
<!-- IF FORUM_ID != 12 -->
<tr>
      <td class="row2" valign="top"><span class="gen"><h1>Posting Check list</h1><p>Help Us to Help You.</p><p>If you don't follow the list you will probably not be answered.</p></span></td>
<td class="row2" >
<span class="gen">
<ol>
<li>You <b>must</b> give the (myfree/myfast/myfine)forum.org link/address of your forum. A link should be given to the problem if at all possible. Do this whether you think it is important or not.  DO NO GIVE YOUR OWN DOMAIN LINK IT MUST BE THE NAME YOU CREATED HERE.
<li>Search on the forum and on <a href="http://howtodoit.myfreeforum.org/">howtodoit</a> for your problem before posting. 90% of the posts we get have easily found answers if you search on a couple of key words from your post. If this is not the case report the keywords you searched on and we will make sure search works for the next person to try the same search terms. Each time someone doesn't bother to use the search, questions accumulate in the forum making it harder for people to actually find answers! as people searching will end up finding the question and not the answer.
<li>Keep it to one support question per thread, if you have another question start a new topic. This will help others using "search" to find answers.

</ol>
</span>
</td>
   </tr>
<!-- ENDIF -->
<!-- END switch_not_privmsg -->

Nope.

Maybe you have a good starting place for me?
myff admin

Reading howtodoit guides!
BotTronics

Ok hello again. I have been reading the guides and learning alot. I know understand how too add my own banner as well as forum template etc.

Question?

I added the template "xabbred" from my add button in my admin panel under styles etc.

My question is if I wanted to edit the way "New Post" showed up like make it darker or even a different color. What do I edit in Admin Panel?

Where are those little details found?

Thanks
myff admin

If you are talking about a button then you need to edit it in a graphics editor, and then re-upload using the same file name.

Right click usually allows you to have a graphic image file.

myff admin

Yep, just right click and save that image. Or it may be a background image.
