What other free forum companioes have you tried?

What other free forum companioes have you tried? I haven't tried any other free forum service besides MFF, but I've heard that some places have absolutely terrible amounts of spam.

None i did my homework before joning here, i saw the link on another forum had a look then did the old google search, read the rest and picked this one

I'd love to hear some anecdotes here! This service was started because of reports and investigation of just how bad things can be.

And one reason for that was the help forum as i checked others out and found them very unhelpful with loads of people moaning about lack of surport.

I've tried Russian, Dutch, Spanninsh, French and a few others...

Oh my lord, where do I start

My daughter's twirling team has a forum I administer... all I can say is:
    the admin is not English so there is a language barrier
    the admin is about as helpfull as a premenstrual rotweiller with a hangover having been stung on the jacksey in the night by a hornet
    You can not move away under any circumstances
    You cannot ask for hacks
    Never PM admin
    The answer is NO, what is the question
    Ask for something and the response time is... well... slower than a drunk tortoise trying to climb a mountain with a large weight on its back


I wish I could get the forum and move it over to here, I'd pay for it myself. I moved it once when the other host went down, no warning, POP, gone! I grabbed the first one I could find and that was that. The forum also puts some words into links...

Well I think y'all are doing a great job, and providing excellant support. I mean you do not install every hack people ask(I don't mind, just as long as I get my BBtable Wink ), and you take time to investigate things before they are applied, and this may bother some people, but not me, for I understand why you are doing it, and I know that you know what you are doing, and you are doing this for the safety of our forums. I think that was the biggest run-on sentence I've ever written.

servernameremoved are happy to collaborate no with private/organization but only with police.

The sites are quite blatant about the fact they are doing it as well... all over the home pages!
So if it is hidden he allows it, you have to accept that the forum is subject to whatever law he says (Italian for him!)

He really is as helpful as a kick in the B@11ders

I've tried quite a lot of free forum companies. I've tried forumer, invision free, proboards, yabbers, forumup and a few more. None compare to myfreeforum though

That's perfectly alright! I realie that y'all have a lot of other things to worry about(such as getting the new template edit system ready for Jan.)
