General, confirmation, and I changed the text in the site description to

The welcome text is one of those, i did it didn't work is very frustrating for us.

have you clear cookies etc , are you editing the correct template
mikethedj4

Almost Positive

I logged in as official the admin for my forum (Forum_Admins).

Then I logged into the administration Panel

I went to General then Configuration

I changed the text in the Site description to what I want it to say now, and made sure it was the template I wanted.

Then I clicked submit and I viewed the page and it didn't work. So I waited 5 minutes and viewed it again same thing.

You should try in the owner control panel which is different to "Configuration" in the Admin Panel:

Here's the link:

http://myfreeforum.org/index.php?...amp;task=loginforum&Itemid=27

Put in your forum name without the http bit and use your admin password

Good Luck
mikethedj4

ok I went to the link you posted, and now I'm having the problem of going into the control panel.

For the forum name I put anytipsfree considering the url of my forum is anytipsfree.myfreeforum.org

It keeps saying the password is wrong, and my email is blocked.
scottish-jim

anytipsfree is correct

The password must be the original password given when starting the new forum.

I just logged in ok on my control panel.

Bear in mind that if you have changed the password for admin in your Configuration you will still need the original password to get into the control panel.

Try this link in case the one I gave earlier is only for my forum?

Edited to eliminate smelling pistakes
mikethedj4

Symon

Then use the forgot password field

Do not post email address on an open forum.

The best way to deal with this would be to send Admin an email pointing to this thread.
mikethedj4

ok, and sorry for making so much trouble with this.

No trouble , but bots roam the net picking up emails to spam them to hell, so never a good idea to leave them.
mikethedj4

ok
