Just been taking to a friend of mine who asked a good question.
"before i went into forums what was i expecting, why Myff, and was it better or worse then i expected"

So i thought i would throw the question open to all.

1. Why Myff
2. Is Myff (as a whole Package) Better , worse or not sure , than you expected.
3. Is the level of Support better or worse than you thought it would be.
4. Was making your forum a success,. a lot hardier than you thought.
5. How many forum`s have you made before they became a success
6. Do you think it was worth all the hard work
7. Have you left us but still pop in , how was the move ?

The next  question is NOT a test and no charges are planned by Admin ,, again just a question that was chucked to me.

8. If you knew about everything you know about myff , before you knew it was free, would you have paid to host a forum here.

And finally

9. If you met the Admin and Mods in a pub would you

(a) buy them a drink
(b) chuck a drink at them
(c) Ignore the Geeks in the corner.

It is an interesting set of questions.

One thing is certain about myff, it is not a clone of any other free forums system. My only experience of other free forums systems was in hearing horrible reports about them before myff was set up. I was an experienced phpbb2 admin and programmer and hence created what I wanted to see in a system and did not copy from else where.

1. I chose MyFF because I was a member of a forum which was hosted here, i saw the link at the bottom of the page, so I investigated.

2. MyFF is amazing, everyone here is really friendly, most people help out as much as they can, and the majority of forums try to help each other out (link exchanges etc...)

3. The support at MyFF is also unbelievable, before coming here I thought that waiting days for a reply was normal, with you guys its usually a matter of minutes (hours at the most) before there is a reply, it's outstanding.

4. Well, actually, making it a success wasn't actually the hardest thing for me, I think i did a great job, but then there were serious problems involving the game that my forum was about and suddenly I found that it was a lot harder to keep it successful (it's pretty much dead now)

5. Well, the first forum that I made was the only one that has became a success, but now it's pretty much dead.

6. Even though it has started to die now, I still think it was a great experience running my very own forum, hopefully in the future I will run another succesful one (of course I'll choose you guys as the host.)

7. I haven't left you as such, but I wouldn't really say that I am currently running a forum with you guys, my forum is still getting a post or two per week, but I hardly ever visit it now.
I still check this forum most days however, i dunno why, just force of habbit really, I like to see what is new and how everyone is doing.

8. I wouldn't have paid to host a forum, even if I knew how good you guys were, when I started my forum at first its only aim was to see if I could find out more bonus codes for the game I use to play, I never thought it would ever have been successful.

9. If I met the Admin and Mods in a pub I would wonder why I was in the pub, I don't drink, I would probably beat them at pool and then go home.

It's better than I thought. It's very, flexible.

Couldn't be better.

Hasn't happened yet, so I don't know.

1. Why Myff?
My friend made a forum using it, and i joined his site... but it was all about sonic. And, as much as i like sonic, i tried to convince him to add extra things and he was like "no.. no.." and then we argued for a bit and he was like "if you think you can do better make your own one"... and voila =]

I never expected anything. My friends forum was the first forum i'd ever joined.. so i hadn't really a clue what a forum even was, lol

Better, definately better

4. Was making your forum a success, a lot hardier than you thought.
Suprisingly not... It was the second forum i'd ever joined, and the first forum i ever made. And for about a month it was just me and my mates posting but then shortly after many other people joined from no where (Not that i'm conplaining, lol)

5. How many forum`s have you made before they became a success.
The only successful one was my first one. I made a lot of forums after - but none have been anywhere near a success

6. Do you think it was worth all the hard work.
Yes.

7. Have you left us but still pop in, how was the move?
I havn't left.. and don't plan to anytime soon

No, as i didn't know what a forum was. And i only did it to prove something to my mate, lol. Plus, it's either free or not at all for me =D

I would walk past you 'coz i probably wouldn't even recognice you... after wondering (a) why i was in the pub and (b) why i'm not walking out of the pub
