Topic type/toggle: announcements

URL: http://footballitalia.myfastforum.org

Templates: viewforum_body.tpl posting_body.tpl

Keywords: topicrow.TOPIC_TYPE, topic_type, topic type, topic toggle

Is there any way i can change the default wording of {topicrow.TOPIC_TYPE} in viewforum_body.tpl ?

If it's possible my intention is to change the words Global Announcement and Announcement to Announcement and Game respectively.

By consequence i would then also need to change the default wording of {S_TYPE_TOGGLE} in posting_body.tpl from Global Announcement and Announcement to Announcement and Game respectively.

Thanks.

Edit: apologies, my initial post was not clear, i've change it now so hopefully my question is more understandable now.

Short answer no

May be a longer more complicated yes answer.

No worries.

By longer more complicated do you mean i could use the individual macros for each 'TOPIC_TYPE' in {topicrow.TOPIC_TYPE} in the viewforum_body.tpl ?

Something like...

Code:
<span class="topictitle">
<!-- IF topicrow.TOPIC_TYPE == "normal" -->
Normal
<!-- ENDIF -->
<!-- IF topicrow.TOPIC_TYPE == "sticky" -->
Sticky
<!-- ENDIF -->
<!-- IF topicrow.TOPIC_TYPE == "announce" -->
Annoucement
<!-- ENDIF -->
<!-- IF topicrow.TOPIC_TYPE == "globalannounce" -->
Global Announcement
<!-- ENDIF -->
</span>

Something similar for {S_TYPE_TOGGLE} in posting_body.tpl

Or am i barking up the wrong tree?
Myles

Actually just remembered normal topics don't have a prefix in viewforum.php pages so that is just left blank in viewforum_body.tpl perhaps.
