is there any chance at all we could have this mod installed http://www.phpbb.com/community/viewtopic.php?f=69&t=1690905  as loads of places use this now and its a really usefull addon.

I haven't really looked, but the karma rating mod we have my be able to be used in that way, as for the actual mod, admin will need to answer that one.

thanks for the reply Nick.  The Karma mod is a good add on but I would say it's a totally different purpose than the thanks button. and something a lot more people and forums would and are using elsewhere.  

It dosent look good to get it added though as the admin dont seem to be acknowledging my posts.

This falls into our standard response about phpbb3 mods at this stage.
Until phpbb3 reaches a point of convincing stability all such mods may break with future releases and make life very difficult indeed.

Thanks for the reply. I just wondered why so many other forums have used it for quite some time now if there is stability issues.

It is one thing deal with a MOD that becomes incompatible due to an upgrade on a single forum, quite another when dealing with thousands and with forum owners who are not tech savvy. It simply is not sane to risk getting into that situation.
