template server yoyoingYou may be seeing images from templates appearing and disappearing.
These are either delivered from our own servers or offsite servers and the offsite one is having issues at the moment. Each time we see it is having an issue the images revert to using our own server.

I am keeping the template server offline, a poll (elsewhere) reveals that 95% of people are seeing it okay. But only one of our main servers is seeing it correctly and finding it stable. The other servers see the connection bouncing up and down and what is worse when it is up what is being returned is horrible
Godaddy where this is hosted are being predictable poor at support

godaddy eventually informed me that we were over a limit in their directory system.
We can get around this, but it will need some work to get the system back online.

Nice of them to give you early warning we were close to the limit

We were over the limit almost from the start
I now need to rework how the template thing will work which is not hard.
But we have been transferring files for a month, they need to be either all copied again in the new fashion of code written to reorganize them on godaddy and code done on the servers to cross reference what is there and valid and what needs copying again.
It is a right pain

I have reorganized several times on godaddy and arrived at a format that should be safe unless we get about 30x more forums that we have now
in the morning we try and run a sanity check to unmark the templates that think they have a copy on godaddy, but thanks to this mess no longer do.

Well we a trundling through the process (including the corrective surgery) again on Zaphod.
Will extend now to the other servers. Hopefully the offline template system will be able to go back online late today or early tomorrow.

At least in theory we have processed everything, aside from the slarti server which is now down to less than 3000 files to go.
In the morning we must risk plugging things back in and seeing what happens...
