http://swapitshopnotes.myfreeforum.org have blatantly copied the description of many forums of this forum:

Two examples of this are:

It isn't my call what happens. I'm just alerting admin to this issue, I don't know what it has to do with you.

I can't just say: "This forum should be suspend full time." It isn't my call to make, it's admin of MFF's.

Also the admin of that forum was pm spamming www.swapitshopforum.co.uk's members with the link to his forum.

Im admin on that forum and I basically did everything on there, for practise.

Swapits56 is a n00b who spams everywhere and I wish I never got involved with him. I wont blame you if you shut it down TBH. SSB (Jake's forum) is best

I should lock this and tell you to post in the terms and conditions, as you know full well that's where you should be posting this Jakequaza, but seeing as you made the effort to post links, all I'm going to do is move it.

That said, forum names and descriptions will not be enough to suspend a forum, you need to remember forums that are based around the same thing will without a doubt be very similar in the their forum names and descriptions.

Cheers, but I made a similar topic a few weeks ago in phpBB2 Support, and admin seemed satisfied with it then, so I'm one for 'if it ain't broke, don't fix it.'

But, these have the exact same names and descritpions, not altered whatsoever.

Does a combination of forum descriptions and spam PMing people with their forum's address allow for a suspension? As this is what the admin of their forum has done.

It is evidence of some spam, but not of a spamming campaign.

You're right there. But what would you define as a 'spamming campaign'?

Does when the admin of the forum sends several spam PMs under a false alias not count as a 'spamming campaign'?

I doubt this person is the admin of that forum, I think it is a friend of Jake trying to stir things up.  Might be wrong but that is my gut feeling.

Haha, I can assure you he is admin on this forum, but he is also someone I could call a "friend" if you have them on the internet :P

hmm fair enough, I just found it strange that he started the forum using a different email to his regular one (which he has used to start 5 other forums).  Smelt a bit funny that did, but I see in his profile he is publicly displaying his msn address.

I still find it strange that he would spam his own forum then say yours is better on a T&C thread, something isn't quite right there.

Oh... I think there's a misunderstanding. There are two admins on the SwapitShop Notes forum, the one who has done the spam PMing is the owner and founder, Keaton is a guy who was installed as admin to install 'hacks'.

Considering a friend of yours is admin on the forum you're complaining about, I'd ask them to change the descriptions, and if you want, on your own forum ban his e-mail address.  That would settle the pm spam, and the descriptions would be changed.

Seems a rather simple fix.

(then again he could just go rogue and delete it, but that isn't right to promote )

Who actually cares? It is run by a 5 year old who dosen't even know how to change somebody's rank

And I am admin for the practice on hacks not for the forum to get big, like it would being run Swapits56!

To be honest I hope it gets closed down because I have done everything I won't to do and that n00b won't leave me alone!!!!!!

Why Did I Spam Ssf.com? Becuase I Only Made Ssn And I Wanted Members To Join. Now I Will Not Spam / Advertise And Just Continue On Doing My Job As An Admin.
