Swapitshop Boards Report

I am reporting swapitshopboards.myfreeforum.org for continuously spamming Swapitshop Lounge , with extremely innapropriate pictures for our users. Some users are as young as just 11 years old, and the content they are posting on our site is clearly unnacceptable.

I'm writing this report in the terms and conditions section because you advised me to do so. We have spoken before in another topic when one of Swapitshop Lounge's other admins posted a report a month or 2 ago regarding this same forum for spamming.

The issue was dropped as the swapitshopboards admin agreed to have words with their members, however this NEVER happened last time, and has not happened this time. We are getting extremely frustrated and cross with the amount of spam posts we are having to deal with on a daily basis and we have even considering closing down the forum because of this. Of course we would not like to, and its a very extreme action which would only be taken if absoloutely necessary, however we feel it would be for the benefit of your users.

Closing down Swapitshop Lounge would be of upset to a lot of our members im sure, as we have nearly 15,000 registered users, and many of these are sick of seeing these posts being posted around our forum/board. A lot of effort and time has gone into our forum to make it the best we possibly can, and we have lots of dedicated moderators and admins who do their best to maintain the forum, however it is getting beyond control now when we are getting so many spam posts coming from swapitshopboards forum. Please can you have words with their admin directly, or do something about this, and please let me know whats happened, because it really is getting to that point of not knowing what to do, and wondering how long it can go on for.

Below are some examples of what they have been posting on our forum, along with long lists of spam posts which have been removed and moved to our "Trash" section which is not visible to the members. We keep these for record incase situations like this arise. I have taken the time to take these screenshots of what has been happening, and this is just a small percentage of it. If you would like an admin account on our forum to look further into our trash/spam section, you are more than welcome.

Im not an admin on SSL anymore, however as a member, I can see how other members are getting annoyed.


I am a member on 3 swapitshop forums in total, and I have noticed that SwapitshopBoards post spam links on more than just our forum

What ip addresses are these spams coming from and what members are responsible?

Many of these spam posts are coming from proxy addresses so it is hard for us to define exactly who is making the spam posts. I would gather from the user Jake-2-k-8 that it could be Jake from SwapitshopBoards, who is an admin there. Obviously this is not concrete evidence as its hard to tell with proxys.

Please find out the facts before you make accusations like that. The members responsible before recieved lengthy bans.

How do you know?  In all referral competitions and for places to advertise our forum, I clearly stated not to post any where it would break the rules.

THis is all from one member, Harrier. His MSN is 'jake-2k8' or something similar to that, and if I can get confirmation from him, then he'll be given a life ban. I can assure you that this wasn't me, or my fellow admin, do you think we're stupid enough to think this will gain us members? These are stupid, stupid people.

I've got a few of the IP's here that were used on the accounts that were spamming:-

All I can say is that we cannot do anything without reliable evidence.

But if there should be a clear cut case that a forum is in anyway support or even failing to take action where they can against this sort of behavior then that forum would be suspended.

It is in any admins best interest to do their best to stop this sort of thing.

So you're going to let their members carry on posting porn all over Swapitshop Lounge and let them offend our 15,000 members that mainly consist of 11-18 year olds?

I've given you the IP addresses that their admin (Jake) has posted all of the disgusting content from and given you screenshots as proof, can you please tell me what else you want?

There's also no proof from Swapitshop Boards that they have desperately tried to stop this from happening because they haven't. They're happy and will continue to spam our forum if you are willing to let them get away with it.

Are you an idiot? Why would I want to post pictures of a poo to try and entice members to my forum? It would be stupid, and gain a very bad reputation for my forum, which isn't what I will or plan on doing. We are growing fast enough to now that we don't need to spam other forums to gain members.

No, you're trying to post a load of porn and offend our members to force them to leave so that your forum can overtake us.

Admin, I will continue to post screenshots and IP addresses of the future spammers in this topic over the next few days, weeks, months and even years. They won't stop, I know it.

We don't want or need any more screenshots, what we would need is actual evidence and not simple assertion.

Your best approach is quick deletion, if they get zapped as they post, they will stop as there will be no mileage in doing it.

In the past I had a spam attack from someone and posting links all over the fourm with their link. I had to spend about 2 hours cleaning it all up.

I talked to Jake on MSN and I said it was un-accpeted and banned him for 3 days (I think). After I unbanned him I had no more spam posts from them. So ethier he asked members from stop posting spam links or Jake did't post them anymore!

I agree that it is starting to get childish. It's just a shame that you find your own forum so crap that you have to go around onto other forums and post disgusting porn everywhere.

You were lucky and admin let you get away with it this time, but if you continue to come to my forum and offend and insult my my members as well as spamming and posting content like that, then I will make sure that it gets treated as a case of cyber bullying.

It's obviously now that admin won't do anything about this and when it continues I will be back reporting Swapitshop Boards once again.

So admin you may as well lock this thread.

I don't know if this topic is meant to be used as some bad publicity for my forum, but it isn't working, you've even began to fake conversation that I supposedly had. I don't even have anyone in my contacts with that name that you allege I spoke to.

I'm in charge of the forum until Joey (the owner) get's back off holiday. Anyway, I am still an admin on the forum so I am treating it as my own and doing what I believe Joey would.
