Suggestions for portalI understand all on hold for a while so when time allows.
I was think of a new one called
Showcase
it would enable you to place picture links like this
[Showcase]
item1 image= 
width="120"
height="45"
link1=http://www.downsizer.net/
this would be different to the bog standard friends link
And may solve the problem of how to showcase the winning forums in the competitions

You can already do this with LINKSMENU
item1=<img...>
works just fine.

Its not a bda idea...
I think a Daily posts bit would be good, like the Top Posters except have it counting how many post you make in one day.

Yes i know that (oh OK wasn't to sure  ) but i really would like a separate one as in my respected links are for my forum and a few respected ones, i wanted to keep the showcase ones separate.

and you have a new component, or at least you would if the template editor was live.

It is a no go for the time being, as it would be a server killer, some database queries are fast some are slow. That one would be very slow.

So when do we get the customizable portals then as I plan on creating an intro page using swithes with the login. I hope I can get that to work.

Well pretty much now. With the editing in place, all that is missing is the ability to have multiple different index pages.
