Please could you help me, i was removing some templates and site is not loading. I am new to all this and would like some help from someone.

Sorry if there is a answer somewhere but as i have brain injury(short & long term memory loss, not asking for pitty) I'm getting lost a little.

try clearing cookies as you may be logged in to a duff template.

You can also reset the template in the control panel.

What does the control panel say? have you tried the lost password routine?

Somehow you had so many accesses to the server you sparked an IP ban, it expires in 10 minutes. Just what were you doing?

Well i only had firefox open for site & control panel and explorer open as editor thats it, been working fine for days that has ? is this norm then ? If not hope this info will help others.

It is uncommon, but obviously it best that the servers are ready to pounce, just so long as they do not get over eager on more than the odd occasion. I'd still ask exactly what you were doing when you were barred?

This is the same thing that was happening to me a week or so ago. Just in the middle of adding smilies. Here is that thread.

After that I changed to Firefox and the instances decreased. But I have had it happen to me once or twice after that. Like when I went from the admin page to the forum index. I wouldn't have to be actually doing anything to make it happen. It would just happen between page changes.

It is partially in response to this sort of thing that we are offloading accesses to smilies and other bits to other servers. This may not be live in all parts of the admin panel yet.

If we do this then there is no reason why any legitimate user would end up with loads of accesses to the main servers.

Just quick question how to get home page link on forums, instead of going to Gallery at bottom then on home page > can't find how to get the link to home page onto the forums ??

You would have to code a home page link where you want it. Probably in overall_header.tpl along with the other links.
