Rather a long time in the making, but it is very much a background activity for me.

But now with 100 posts, it perhaps has enough content to have some validity.

These days it is very cheap to run a so called virtual server. £10 or even less a month can rent you a server that is equivalent in every way (apart from speed and reliability   ) to the server myff runs on.

The aspiring techy can cut their teeth with one of these servers, perhaps running games servers, or simply playing.

But running a web server is much much more complex than using a hosting package.

Over the last couple of years, I have been using server masters as a crib sheet for some of the stuff I have learned.

Perhaps others can now benefit a little from this and develop the site into a useful resource.

Nice one Admin i've been waiting for you to post your forum link up. I read a few weeks ago that you was building the content up before you would advertise it, and here it is a nice basic forum that will be of use to many people even more so now that online games are becoming ever so popular and people looking for good servers to host their game(s) on.

For me though i quit trying to make online games when i read Must Have HTML Skills now i just look and play other peoples creations thinking how lucky they are. anywho thanks for posting the link up and as soon as i have more time i will drop by and take a look.
