Now ask your question in clear English without "txt" speak>>>>i would like to get hold of a special logo for my site and noticed that some members had skills in creating them ( complete numbnut here) i am thinking of a scarecrow reading a news paper with maybe a drink in its hand .the scarecrow picture i like is the one from the wizard of oz, not sure about copyright there though .any help would be gratefully recieved .ty regs welly
thats really brilliant .er indoors thinks its the one .
now i have a question do we owe you anything?
can you advise me how to transfer it to my site main index page?centre placing.
and then could i remove the text portion of the headline.scarecrow news and use this new logo as the headline
many thanks for the help regs welly
owe anything, no.
For general support go through the usual channels of searching etc, there are plenty of guides on this
As you didn't say a size or colour preference I made it the same size as your current on the template you have now, I even named it the same as the one you have now for ease of use.
many thanks if your up in fife stop by fer a egg butty and cuppa
i have just followed the tutorial to install it straight from this screen, hope thas right ,but it looks ok.
is it possible to centre align it so i can remove the black text ( scarecrow news).
ty regs welly
I see you changed template. The background colour of the image was designed to blend in with the yellow of your old template. A gif image is capable of having transparency (and thus fit on any colour) but it cannot handle semi transparency, so the edges appear jagged and horrible.
The fix is either to revert to the old template, have a jagged gif image, or you'd have to work out how to replace the gif with a png image (not that hard you just have to edit files etc, plenty of guides to do it).
the new logo has gone down very well thank you bravo.
could i just ask ? is it possible to make it about 50% bigger without having to mess about with it to much ?
some sight challenged oldie thinks it could be small , (er indoors)
many thanks regs welly
Like I said, as you didn't specify a size I made it suit the template you had, and it is exactly the same size as the old logo. If I increase the size now it would go all blurry and awful, or I'd have to start all over again which would give different results and would be more work than I'd be willing to do given that no size was given in the first place. Not being brusque, just explaining
scarecrow reading paper logo
thats fine bravo ,it was brill of you to help with the logo in the first place ,i will just say its like wedding tackle they only come in one size
thanks , regs welly
Nice job on the logo, Bravo. It's looks great on the forum.

thanks again bravo regs welly
Indeed, and for artists we do keep a record of who does what etc, and we'll try think up some kind of prize at the end of the year for whoever does most (or something, we'll figure the details out closer to the time lol)
