Restrict width of new portals

How would I restrict the width of this portal (code in spoiler)

Spoiler:

Code:
<div class="forabg">
<div class="inner"><span class="corners-top"><span></span></span>

<ul class="topiclist">
<li class="header">
      <dl class="lastpost" >
            <dt>Visitor's Map</dt>

      </dl>
</li>
</ul>
<ul class="widelist forums">
<li class="row">
<dl class="lastpost" >

<p align="center"><br><a href="http://www.maploco.com/view.php?id=283102"><img border=0 src="http://www.maploco.com/vmap/283102.png" alt="Visitor Map"></a><br><a href="http://www.maploco.com/">Create your own visitor map!</a><br></p>

</dl></li>

</ul>
<span class="corners-bottom"><span></span></span></div>
      </div>

I've had a crack at but this dt dl li stuff is new to me, must get learning again

Well the issue there is probably that whilst lastpost is a class that tries to define a width. An image is something that will expand just about any container element to fit it.

Is there a link to where we can see it?

Its on myff_archersrest2 in the footer

or follow my sig link to see it working in the old portals, the picture doesnt strech to fill.

Basically I don't "know" the answer here. One possibility is that there are two ways the "look" can be done.

One uses lists, the other like here:

http://forum.myfreeforum.org/groupcp.php

uses tables. You could try the table approach, or you could try defining some new css classed for the lists based on the dimensions you want to see. I added "widelist" myself to get an effect I wanted.
