Report Pop Up

I follwed the HOWTODOIT on setting up a report system. It worked but when I click on the report bit it comes up with a whole load of BB coding.

and the private message i get is this:

I got this guide from -->

admin (no pm's please)

That looks like a bug. I will sort it.
admin (no pm's please)

should be fixed.
wee2john

thanx

thanx very much for the help.

EDIT:

Just tried it again and it is still not working
admin (no pm's please)

So what is happening now?
wee2john

the same thing. The topic in the PM is an HTML code and the report window is in BB code.
admin (no pm's please)

try now.
Symon

the one i got from here works ok.
wee2john

Still not

It's till not working. I undid it. Did it again. logged in a different account. Reported a post. logged into admin. Looked at my messages (it doesn't say I have one new message) and the topic came up:

Topic:The RULES!
Reason: LANGUAGE
admin (no pm's please)

Well I just reported your post here (sorry mods) and it seemed to work perfectly.

You own picture of the PM suggests that a post has been reported all that seems missing is the report text itself implying maybe the PM settings in the portal are not quite right.
Symon

when the message was sent was bbcodes turned off ?
wee2john

Sorry I meant the topic actually shows the html code. Do you need to have the wysiwyg installed foe this to work. Or do you need to enable html codes in the admin panel bit. At the minute I only have the old messaging version and only BBcode enabled (not HTML)
admin (no pm's please)

It should work with bbcode, it actually forces bbcode on.
wee2john

so what is the solution then
admin (no pm's please)

We clearly need more from you.

Showing us what is in your report portal, and being very clear about what is happening at each step.

The system is actually very "dumb". If the PM bit of the portal says:

Code:

Topic:<a href="/viewtopic.php?p={REPORT_POST_ID}">{REPORT_TOPIC_TOPIC_TITLE}</a>
Reason: {REPORT_REPORTREASON}
{REPORT_REPORT}

then those macros are going to be parsed and posted so long as they are both there and in the template used for the reporting.
wee2john

I started a topic called REPORT POP UP PROBLEM STEP BY STEP
