Registration ProblemWell, I remembered to search this time, but didn't find anything. I'm having a major problem with the registration on my forum...When one tries to register, they get asked age... get past that and do the regular sign-up info of username, e-mail, password... and when they click submit, it takes them back to being asked about the age, it won't let people sign-up! I just tried to register and saw the same issue.
But this is specific to your forum, and so you need to ask what the cause may be. For example you have a compulsory gender field that gives no indication of how it should be filled in.. what else have you done in the registration area? |

I haven't edited anything else, just have added in the gender field through the ACP... let me try with it removed or not required.... | ||

I tested it with a few things... and I found the problem when I tried to use the login portal, and it wasn't refreshing the page... soon as I took that out, it worked fine.
Maybe a problem with the portal? I only had to remove {MYFF.LOGIN} and it worked perfect. So, I guess that might help some... |

I have put a warning for people to test thing in the default cms_login.tpl template.
probably there is a forms conflict. |

It would appear so, have just registered as noobtest(which can be deleted) the login form of phpbb3 is something I've not looked at as far as a portal goes, not sure if symon has yet? |

ok, I've had a fiddle with this and have ripped out what was in the original file the one I have, you can now login through it, just have to check for registrations problems. | ||

this is gonna need more fiddling, it is real odd, you can login through it from any page except the register.php?
Right I've fiddled for a while exhausting all I can possibly try, I've not found a way to have the login portal usable, far short of being able to use the if flags to hide it from a certain page? Not quite sure if using the flags you can hide things from certain pages, boss? |
