Recent Posts

Ok...I did the search using 'recent posts' and 'recent posts portal' but came up with nothing.

I added the code from this link:

http://howtodoit.myfreeforum.org/about589.html&highlight=posts

Latest Posts, the last one.

When I added it, I thought it would be a link that would take users to a separate page with the most recent posts, instead it listed the topics on the home page. I added the code exactly the way it was posted, the
Code:
{MYFF.LATEST}
went in the index_body.tpl. I think it was done right. I took it off, when I saw everything on the index page.

How can I add it, so it is a link to a separate page, with the link, 'recent posts' right under
"Our users have posted a total of ___ articles"

Is that even possible?

I hope I was making sense
admin (no pm's please)

I don't think it can be done iike that, users do have access to :

"View posts since last visit"

I actually meant something like that, where the link would direct you to a separate page, instead of listing them on the home page, but if it's not doable, that's ok, it really isn't that important.

If I understand the question it is possible, either via the View posts since last visit link which you can add to any part of your forum if you know a bit about HTML. Admin added it to the overall header, as you can see at the top of this page, and I just copied it . But you could add it as a link were you wanted to on the index page.

Or you could try THIS hack.

it is in a roundabout way workable

if you decide where you want the link to appear then add:
Code:
<A href="http://hp4theoldercrowd.myfastforum.org/index.php?component=indexpage">View The Latest Posts</A>

that should create a link to the full portal view, I noticed there are black blocks, this is down to the code within each portal file, hopefully admin can tell you what it needs to be changed to, I'm rushing for work.
