Problems since Sundays upgradeI have just seen on howtodoit the portal one that its gone a little pear shape.if you click on the Link on the left and click howtodoit common questions i do not get the normal view of all the treads but what seems like a selection of a few post no matter what I press this happens so in effect this howtodoit site is dead for the time being http://howtodoit.myfreeforum.org |

That is the problem nick if you click any link in the categories it leads you to that same page view and nothing else seems cats have been changed | ||||||

I have all the new ones by the look of it and they have gone from the normal files to edit drop down.
So how would i get cats to show the list rather than the posts? Looked for forum view and can not see it |

Just found out if you click the last link shown in pic then you do in fact get the list of topics but to the untrained eye this will be like having a tom tom made by mark thacher | ||||||

I'm having the same problem on Link Exchange through the portal view.
Seems though a few forums arent affected. |

Some more fixes in. This was hopefully the last really major set of changes. So one the issues are resolved we should move to a more stable beta phase. | ||||||

I wish I had a picture, but everything on my portal is out of place. I had the forums centered and the menus up a bit higher. And the topics on the left side. Heres the link.

I didn't do that, at least I don't think I did. It was fine two days ago. And yesterday for that matter. Then today it got all screwy. | ||||||

Ignore that TPK, I think this is a problem across the board for those that use the portal view, where as there using portal enhanced forums are unaffected. | ||||||

Yeah I'm just quickly sorting through the codes and nothing looks wrong with them as far as I've seen. Though I would like to know how to get it back to the way I had it. | ||||||

Actually I think you probably need to run your forum/portal pages thorugh a html page validation. Your page has a "missing /table" according to my validation. That is a very serious error that will muck up page formatting in a quite random fashion. |

Sorry no can do. I'd guess you are opening a table in overall_header.tpl and not closing it in overall_footer.tpl, but picking through html errors is a very tricky and time consuming business. I'd recommend using: http://validator.w3.org/ and trying to deal with the issues it reports one by one. Sooner or later as the sheer numbers of errors decline, you may spot the real issue. It may take quite literally a few hours! |

I cannot really see a problem there, but hark the whole point of Sundays change was that you can edit cms_category.tpl to make it look how you want! | ||||||

You think you had problems you should have met the coach driver we had 1hr 45 mins to get to hayling island when the journey normally takes 45 - 1 hour he was a very bad and dangerous driver, a letter is on its way now to his boss

Normally if you view a forum article in the portal, you see it formatted with poster name date and other bits.
The RAWCONTENT component uses the rawcontent template to show just the post itself. This is key to using the portal more as a website than a forum. |
