What exactly is the point of it? I notice if you are over the limit and set to receive 'you got a pm e-mail', it will send you the e-mail but no private message..

500 which is much more than enough for any sane purpose.

Excellent, thanks Admin.
I will reduce mine to 25 inbox 25 sent and 30 save able PM's, i think 500 is to much for my mind to handle. Then again its rare that i send PM's.

On downsizer my main forum I started off with 500 and then massively reduced it, some people were using PMs as a form of private email, and it is quite disconcerting for members to see people constantly online in the private messages and never posting on the main forum 
Like a lot of things on myfreeforum some limits we impose or did impose are not punitive limits, but actually quite sensible limits for the running of a good forum!
