Please help me in choosing web hosting

Hi everyone,
I am sorry for possible offtopic, but I need your help in find new web hosting provider as soon as possible, because my current host (bluehost.com) is kicking me off, they say 'your account is using a lot server resources', but my website gets only about 200 visitors per day and my disk usage is 1500 MB (maybe they do not like that?)

Anyway, what would be your recommendations for getting reliable web hosting? Where are you hosting your websites? Are you happy with your providers?

I am now checking http://www.hosting24.com/ - offer looks very nice, but is it real that they can provide unlimited disk space?
I have contacted them about this question and they say something that "These days 500GB disk drive costs only $30 per month, so if some day we will run out of disk space we will simply add new 500GB disk drive with almost zero costs and you can continue uploading without any problems".

What do you think about it? Maybe things have changed in last 4 years? With my current provider I get only 2GB of disk space for $10 per month..
Any ideas and suggestions are much appreciated.

One reason we do not host many people ourselves is that the promises made by almost all web hosts are unrealistic for the price. Based on some of the offers the apparent bandwidth allowances alone would cost up more than the price they offer the hosting for.

So essentially what happens is that users who do use the resources end up booted off the hosting.

Your current Blue Host Hoster is nothing more than a 'phishing scam'.

So they aren't out to host you but more get your money and probably why you are being kicked.
I have been using Go-Daddy for the past year. Not a single problem.

Not sure on the unlimited diskspace, If it sounds to good to be true it probably is. As for the one you are switching to I have no knowledge of them.
I will say the 99.9% uptime, you WILL HAVE DOWNTIME. It is part of the web.

Admin will probably know more, but he rents out 400 dollar servers so....

We don't rent servers, we own servers. Actually to be accurate we do rent one for the backup system.

I would not trust what a couple of random people have said about bluehost and phishing that just sounds like someone sour grapes to me.

Forgot about that

If the person that didn't say it didn't have such a high rating I wouldn't have bothered, but they wouldn't have that rating if they didn't know a thing or two. Or they paid McAfee and didn't like the hoster, could happen.

Firefox is bugging me about 'hoster' not being a 'real' word.

Blueshost has been around a long time, you can find negative stuff like:

about them, but I really would not trust unsubstantiated cybercrime comments, so someone making them has a high rating, what does that actually mean?

Since many sites i have visited don't have a well organisded download section for planes for Microsoft flight simulator X (FSX) i was going to create a website just so i could make it easier for peop,e to find what they want, at the time all i was doing was linking directly to the download and quating the planes discription so they could read what they would be downloading but looking back i'm glade i didn't bother creating a website, so many hosts offer you what seems like a good deal and don't get me wrong their are some genuin hosts who do live up to their promises but its knowing which ones they are.

For me i will simply continue to link directly to the downloads as it seems the best and easiest way. Of course all links are checked to make sure they are freewear or ex-paywear, but so far we've had no rouble doing it like this, all members find it easier and the forum is organised into categories so its a lot easier for them to locate the type of plane their after. To make things more easier i will be making a thread that cover's all planes made by the same company like airliner giants Boeing, will have all Boeing airline planes listed in one thread that way people don't need to search the through what could end up been thousands of threads looking for aplane.

Most planes listed are tried and tested so you get that added advantage aswell as some planes can be made for SP2 but don't say they need service pack 2 in order for it to run. And this is starting to turn into an advertisement which is not what its ment to be so i'll stop their.

I'm looking at the Cirtex Hosting multi-accounts. You pay something small like $4.99/mo, and you get 5gb space and something like 100gb bandwidth, and you can have lots of accounts. It says unlimited, but I wouldn't bet on any more that 10 to 15, max.
admin (no pm's please)

It will all depend on what is done with the accounts, you can have a 1000 accounts without hurting a host. Rather like here really, we don't get snotty about people having multiple forums or test forums, all they are is a little disk space and disk space is cheap, and whilst backup is expensive an empty forum being backed up is still nothing to get in a tiz about.

But one single account running one badly designed bit of database code can be enough to seriously hit a server! and hosts selling cheap packages will not put up with it.
