PhpBb2: Wiki and post comment system installedThere are several things here:
A forum setting that turns a forum into a wiki in forum management.
A system of adding notes*
and a portal to allow comments to be made on posts. A guide (a wiki naturally) is here.

This was a very big installation, so please be patient if there are issues. Please DO report them unless they already have been reported.

Just did the first wiki guide on here O_o
It's rather nice, but would be nice to have the note as clickable buttons rather than having to type. I wanted to do a guide for it, and I wanted to test out the wiki... so I did them together.

well adding bbcodes as buttons is icing on the cake. Let's see if the system works first.

I see also no one has made edits to your guide, and that is what we need, a topic where people are actively making collaborative edits.

Put a format in for your thread... Edits worked okay.
The problem is looking back over it... for example I changed it from a code to a quote tag, and the edits history shows the two bbcode words intermingled, really being confusing looking.
And also, the highlights don't show things right... such as... I only added a single set of the ( ) ever, yet it shows two, same for the Italics tag.

Interesting. I have repeated similar and will try and sort it out. It may be something to do with block bbcodes.
At least the good news (hopefully) is that the key is the wiki difference chain and that does backtrack from latests to original correctly. How we show the differences is another bit of code and can be altered easily.

When editing your post about the free software I have access to all the initial options (attatching signature, deleting post, etc...) which I'm not sure if I should have access to them.

You should only see delete if you were the one making the last edit.
I have tweaked the difference view a bit, and made the unformatted view independent of whether the difference view garbles things at all.
