PasswordsI'm not really sure where to post this but maybe I can get an answer. Is it possible for the admin of a forum to find out what my password is?

General Support it should be...
The admin of the forum cant view it, but he can make a new one and tell you it.
You can get the same one sent to you by email by going to 'Log in' then clicking 'I forgot my password' then filling out your username and email address.

I've had several people join my forum after being banned from another local forum. Each of them have had their account accessed and their passwords changed or email address changed. I would think someone would have to know the password to access the account. In each case they used the same password on both forums. It has not happened to anyone that was not a member of the other forum.

Forums may vary, a standard phpbb2 forum encrypts the password so that there is no way it can be compromised. Other forums systems may vary and for that matter it would be easy to recode phpbb2 to harvest passwords.
Note that on the myfreeforum system admins cannot possibly do this.

The other forum is not phpbb2. It's not a bad idea to change your password from time to time anyway.
