OK, I finally got around to having a play with the portal components last night on my forum http://holidaychat.myfreeforum.org/index.php better late than never I just added the coding from the How to add Portals to your forum topic.

The problem I have is when viewing a topic in I.E for example http://holidaychat.myfreeforum.org/ftopic8876.php you need to scroll right to view the topic properly. I have noticed this problem on this forum as well. Only happens when you have logged in, and appears to happen on every topic. Never noticed it on this forum as I almost exclusively use Firefox only use IE to check the view if I have made changes.

I have cleared cookies and temp internet files and tried accessing the page through IE on 3 or 4 different PC's.

Anyone else had this problem? And if so anyone got a solution?

I'd check here and look for table errors.

it is easy to let them creep in, I just did a check here and found one in the portal login component

Thanks for that I will have a trawl through that when I have a some spare time to look at it in depth.

There is also a view formatted source extension for firefox whihc is pretty good for table issues.
