Owner's PanelIt's been said in the "Portal Components Compiled that you need to put some text in your Owner's Panel for Portals.
Where do you put it in your Owner's Panel?

That guide is outdated as it has changed. Could you post a link to your forum and that guide?

GUIDE: http://forum.myfreeforum.org/about4852.html
MY FORUM: http://finalshowdown.myfastforum.org/index.php
EDIT: That guide (that you gave me) doesn't really explain how to "Active The Portals", so to speak.
For example, how do I make the Karma Portal "existent" on the forums? I don't know how to make it so that it's actually there.

As karma is not really a portal hack you will not find it in the portal section.
But a quick search on HOWTODOIT would have found your answers.

Thanks a lot.
Sorry if I caused trouble.
I'm fairly new to this way of setting up Portals, so I wasn't sure how it worked.

In the Karma Guide, I did everything it said up to "7.", because there it says I only need to keep reading only if I want to "move the code".
I copied and replaced the given text into cms_karma.tpl, and made the 3 profile fields exactly like it was in the pics, but Karma still isn't showing up.
I think it's because I didn't put "ranks/Hearts/rankl{postrow.KARMA}.gif" anywhere.

Cody, the guide isn't outdated, I made the edit on the 16th of this month, this person posted the thread on the 23rd, the guide has been altered in my eyes efficiently enough as far as informing people they no longer need to goto the owners panel to enter the parameters:
| I wrote: | You no longer need to go to the owners panel to set the portal components parameters, this can now be done viw the new portal management system.
How to edit a components parameters
First you need to enter your admin panel, open up number 3, and click portal settings.
figure1.
You can then pick any of the portal components you see in the list, clicking on the icon will take you to a screen where you will be able to insert your chosen parameters for that component.
So on this list of components, where it says this will need to go into your owners panel, just follow the above instructions for the component of choice and you will be able to enter the component parameters through the portal settings page. |
I have just added the last paragraph to help make it clearer.
also elemento that is not a guide on installing them, there is a line on there before you get to the components saying:
| Quote: | | All you need to do is pick the portal components you want then go to this tutorial here to find out where to put them. |
But there is more than one way: http://howtodoit.myfreeforum.org/...hp?component=forum&forumid=32
The best way to add them to the left: http://howtodoit.myfreeforum.org/...component=content&topicid=630

Okay, but where do I put the picture for Karma in the Profile Fields?
And how do I make the Karma count visible off to where user info. is in posts?
