CG Arts

I have posted on two of the graphics forums I go on, running a poll about the whole CG Arts idea, and literally within 2 minutes of posting up I already have 5 replies from different artists all with very positive and encouraging things to say about the idea. Both polls are at 100% approval and counting...

So, if you are an artist, get on there and get a profile going, who knows, maybe you could even earn some money from your talent (though most stuff will be for free).

To the rest of you, get your forums graphics in tip top condition by getting your graphics done for you by people who design graphics for a hobby.

With top notch graphics, MFF forums are going to totally rock (though they do already tbh).

Bravo, thanks for all you and CG arts have done for me and keep up the work with this fantastic forum
Bravo

The artists are now building up quite a portfolio by doing some free stuff for other people. Some of them may even be able to make a good career out of CG Design.

Other people are getting graphics that would cost from anywhere like £10 up to hundreds of pounds totally free.

The people who want graphics get them, the people who make them get inspiration, and get to build up a nice portfolio at the same time. A win win situation which is my favourite

Well done to all those involved in making CG Arts a successful forum.

Can you make graphics?
If so... CG Arts now has a credit system where artists can earn higher ranks and prizes for making people art.

Read here for more information : http://cgarts.myfreeforum.org/forum20.php

Latest 3D model being made for someone in CG Arts, a model of a PzIIc tank from WWII for someone who is making a map for a first person shooter.

This is being made for free.

It has been modelled and is close to being finished texturing (just wheels and tracks to do now):

You can get signatures, avatars, logo's and all sorts of CG Arts at..erm...CG Arts!

Click here to visit CG Arts

(Artists welcome also)

Latest 3D model requested is a piano...

None of the textures are going to be transferred anyway, they guy wanted to texture it himself. Those are just temporary textures to help me in the modelling process.

Chose that colour cos it was that colour on my reference

Some 3D modelling tutorials have gone up in the artist only section today, designed for the complete beginner using totally free software too!

So, if you fancy making 3D models yourself, join the forum and start helping out making art for people and you will be able to see the tuts for yourself.

Also remember, if you want a new logo for your site, or a new signature, or indeed anything arty, and you want it for free, then pay a visit to CG Arts and let us know what you want

It's amazing actually, some of our best and talented artists actually started out requesting artwork themselves...they have read up on stuff, and become great artists of their own right.

Some of em are well on the way to being able to make a career out of artwork should they so desire it.

Loving it!

Actually, thats very true Bravo.
I knew nothign before i came to CG Arts and now i know enough to make people proffessional looking art.

So, Thank you Cg Arts
Bravo

Not only does CG Arts make you free artwork for your forums, it has also turned into a very lively art-based discussion forum. I am learning loads from the other artists and everyone helps each other out.

Make a trip down to CG Arts (just click the banner in my signature) and get your artwork done for you, or just say hi, all are welcome
Notredame123

very true i didnt know there was that much software involved...
Comkidwizzer3

I thought it was the best forum until Bravo made me inactive.
Bravo

Posting links to illegal 'crack' sites gets you made inactive on any of my forums. It is against the ToS of MFF so I dont know how you think you could post that crap up and get away with it.
Comkidwizzer3

I'm sorry I didn't know it was illegal I promise I will never post it again so can I be active again please?
Bravo

Ok, next time you go on, you'll be active again. Please ensure your posts are legal. If unsure, just ask either myself, a moderator, or on here
Comkidwizzer3

I'm going on now

This model of a scoped Springfield rifle has just been made for someone in this thread

Whether you want some art making, want to make some art or even a little of both CG Arts is the place for you.

I have purchased a domain for CG Arts and will also be getting some stuff like T Shirts etc made up and giving away freebies to artists of the month etc

I will also be giving the finest artists their very own space on the main site to use as a portfolio page to show potential employers. This is all coming this year, so get involved with CG Arts now and be part of something wonderful.

See you all there

NICE!

Guys you're my inspiration for allgraphics!

Your work has inspired me to learn your arts!

So many people could use some sort of walkthrough or something about making good graphics, and you would be the people to do it.

Can you perhaps help people wanting to learn how you do it on my forum? You don't have to sign up... its just that you guys are the best of the best i've seen all these years... Wink
Bravo

In CG Arts there are hidden sections for artists to learn how to be better at what they do, with competitions, resources and tutorials.

Only artists helping out making art for people requesting are allowed entry into the hidden bits (its a two way street )

Some artists who started out quite poor (by their own admission) are now absolutely marvellous whos work is really professional looking.

CG Arts really is something to be a part of for all standards and levels.
Brandon

Noticed someone asking for graphics elsewhere on this forum, thought I would bump this thread back to the first page for all to see.

CGArts Rules!

Just for a bit of extra spice we are running a treasure hunt at CG Arts, anybody can enter.

Of course CG Arts is open to anybody from beginner artists, to top pro's to someone just wanting a new banner for their forum, all are welcome.

You are even welcome if you only come on to have a go at the Treasure Hunt. There will be a real prize at the end of it, not sure what yet, but there will be one

See you there.
Bravo

Now opened one of the artists hidden sections to the general public, you can now see the tutorials section, where you can see lots of tutorials, some of which were written specially for CG Arts and are unseen anywhere else.  You may also request tutorials here.

The artwork you receive at CG Arts is free, no strings attached.

As an artist you can come and develop yourself and improve as you help out by doing peoples requests for them.  Some of the best artists on CG Arts started out as requestors themselves!  Also, as an artist you receive access to the other hidden parts which include competitions, resources and WIPs.

All are welcome, no matter the skill level.  There is no limit to how much artwork you can request.

See you there
