We get the odd issue with topics being distorted by people posting unwrappable text or sigs.

I have been looking at some hacks to deal with this that can be either added in the forums code, or templates.

Having been through them all and done some testing, the official answer on such hacks is now "NO" this is one of those cases where the solutions tend to be worse than the problem.

This problem is best solved at the MODERATOR level dealing with people doing stupid things occasionally. Plus the odd more gentle hack like the one we put in yesterday to prevent long urls causing this issue.
