No 'add topic' buttons on forums

no topic tabs, can't post new topic

I am currently building a forum using the Phpbb3 format. I logged in today and went to get things started by adding in the various topic threads only to discover that there is no way to post topics as no 'add topic' buttons exist on either the top or bottom of the forum page. I click on the forum I want to add posts in and there is simply no 'add topic' buttons there anywhere on the page. I am super confused and don't know how I can begin posting topics. I already have another seperate forum on phpbb2 and I'm familiar with adding topics, managing a forum, and such. This is a totally different forum I am creating and that's why I'm really lost when I don't see the 'add topic' buttons and thought it might be an issue I may not be able to address and need outside help with.

Also, I used one of your templates, not one of my own. I thought it might help if I added that piece of information.

I went into the admin panel and checked things out and didn't see anything that should interfere with 'add topic' buttons from appearing. I'm totally lost and don't know what to do. You are always so great with providing quick and effective advice. I'm hoping you can help me out with this one. I don't know what to do. Any support you can offer would be most appreciated. Thank you.

Wow... this really stinks! I thought I was going through you guys because the name is phpbb3. I guess my inexperience with techie stuff is showing, but even the site design and such looks just like what you offer. The sad thing is that I put a lot of work into creating the forum and after you got back to me, I researched and discovered that the support team for this jacked up forum I got is no more. I guess I will check out starting my second forum with you guys. That's what I thought I was doing originally. I'm bummed right now. A bunch of work down the drain. I do appreciate you alerting me to this issue. I truly had no idea it wasn't through you guys.

There are unfortunately countless forum providers, few of which are good.

We create phpbb3 forums directly from:

http://www.myfabforum.org/

or phpbb2 forums from our other domains. But any of our phpbb2 forums can be "upgraded" to phpbb3.

We still regard phpbb3 as not as good as our much changed version of phpbb2.
