before i start hiding forums and creating usergroups, etc have i missed any of the hogwarts rooms off?

It took me so long to make it different to hogwartsafterdark that i may have missed something.

I deleted all of the topics so many times as they were getting to much like that forum it was driving me insane, lol. but eventually i decided on a way to make it different! I havn't posted anything yet as i dont want to of missed any classes or something so could someone tell me if i've missed something?

You need to build up your post counts. Invite friends, make more accounts.

Nothing is more offputting in any fandom than seeing an empty forum. So many come and go, to see all those empty spaces and no members makes you think the site is a flash in the pan, and will disappear after a short time.

There are soooo many hp sites out there, the competition is stiff. Think of some way to make your site different. Go to CG arts and get a good logo for starters, the guys there are AMAZING.

i havn't even started on the forum yet, lol. I just wanted to know if i missed any classes or rooms out, lol. Otherwise even if i make the whole forum perfect but miss out some classes - it will look a bit well stupid to the person who knows i'm missing something, lol

Unless you plan to teach all the classes yourself, I would make invisible classes that don't have an assigned teacher yet. It is very offputting for someone to browse empty classes, lol.

Just because a class is canon, doesn't mean you have to offer it, either. Stick with what you can manage so far. If that means only offering five out of twelve classes, so be it.

And that's a good point. It is offputting to see empty classes, but i was going to run all the classes, lol. It doesn't run like any other harry potter rp around the whole net. My role play isn't a full role-play... well it is... but i cant really explain it. The only things other members will be running as such is being part of their house... i,e they'll be a prefect, senior members, year 1, 2, 3, etc.

The whole aim of the role-play is to get the most amount of house points for the year and try to gain as many spells / abilities as you can. Buy as many of the Harry Potter items / books, etc and become top in all the duals. The classes are not compulsory and the time everything is goes with real-life time...

For example the real first hogwarts term starts september 1st - so hogwars is closed until them on my forum. No one can join a team until then, and they must first go into the great hall and see the sorting hat.

Also there is a hogwarts timetable and diary i have made so i can update everything i need to.
